Louise Pelletier

     Louise was born in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 10 May 1640 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 She was the daughter of Nicolas Pelletier and Jeanne DeVoisy. Louise married Jean Hayot, son of Thomas Hayot and Jeanne Boucher, on 17 November 1653 in ville de Quebec at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 1667, Louise and her husband, Jean, were listed on the Canadian Census in Ste-Foy, ville de Quebec. Enumerated in this household were Jean Hayot [33 years], his wife: Louise Pelletier [26 years], Genevieve [9 years], Jean [5 years], Louise [3 years], Marie-Madeleine [18 months].3 1681, Louise and her husband, Jean, were listed on the Canadian Census in Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Jean Hayot [44 years], his wife: Louise Pelletier [41 years], Jean [18 years], Louise [16 years], Madeleine [14 years], Angelique [13 years], Therese [11 years], Etienne [9 years], Francoise [8 years], Jean-Baptiste [5 years] & Louis-Joseph [4 years].4 Louise's husband, Jean, died before 7 February 1695, leaving her a widow. Louise departed this life on Thursday, 9 November 1713 in ville de Quebec. On the same day, she was buried there in the Notre Dame Cemetery.5
