Captain Nathaniel Niles

     Nathaniel was born on Saturday, 16 August 1642 in Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. He was the son of John Niles. Nathaniel married Sarah Sands, daughter of Captain James Sands and Sarah Walker, on 14 February 1670/71 in Block Island, Washington County, Rhode Island. They got married at New Shoreham. Nathaniel & Sarah had children: Reverend Samuel [m. Elizabeth Thatcher, 2nd Anne Coddington, 3rd Elizabeth Whiting], Nathaniel [m. Mary Hannah], Katherine & Ebenezer.¹ Nathaniel's wife, Sarah, died in 1726 in Cow Neck in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York, leaving him a widower. Nathaniel departed this life in 1727 in Cow Neck in the Town of Oyster Bay at age 84 years.
