Rebecca Dubois

     Rebecca was born on Monday, 25 August 1783 in New Platz, Ulster County, New York. She was the daughter of Hendricus Dubois and Rebecca Van Wagenen. Rebecca married Cornelius Bruyn Dubois in 1802 in New Platz. Cornelius and Rebecca had children: Methusalah [2/04/1803-5/24/1870] [m. Catherine Hasbrouck], Rebecca [4/16/1808-4/20/1878] [m. Hiram Hasbrouck]. Rebecca's husband, Cornelius, died on 21 September 1851 in Columbia Township, Jackson County, Michigan, leaving her a widow. Rebecca departed this life on Tuesday, 23 April 1861 in Columbia Township at age 77 years, 7 months and 29 days. She was buried there in Jefferson Cemetery.¹
