Ruhamah Whitney1

F, b. 10 April 1744
     Ruhamah was born on Friday, 10 April 1744 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Daniel Whitney and Thankful Burt. Ruhamah married in Connecticut. Tradition says that she married a young man, in opposition to her father's wish, with whom he had taught the carpenter's trade amd settled in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Ruhamah died probably in Wilkes-Barre, Wyoming Valley, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
