Robert Little

     Robert was born in 1755. This date was calculated from his age at death.¹ Robert married Elizabeth Townsend, daughter of Henry Townsend V and Anne Wright, on 7 October 1786 in New York City, New York County, New York, at the First Presbyterian Church. The church record shows that Elizabeth Carpenter, widow, was married to Robert Little. The 1790 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at New Cornwall, Orange County, New York, the family of Robert Little [13:2].² The 1800 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Warwick, Kent County, Rhode Island, the family of Robert Little [00101:12001].³ The 1830 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Warwick, Orange County, New York, the family of Robert Little 1031201001:3201101001.⁴ Robert departed this life on Wednesday, 15 June 1831 in Warwick at age 76 years. He was buried there in Warwick Cemetery. The inscription on his tombstone reads: RobertLittle Died June 15, 1831. Aged 76 years.¹
