John Hersey1

     John was born in Hingham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He is the son of William Heresey of Hingman. He was christened there on 9 August 1640. John married Sarah Richards, daughter of Edward Richards and Susanna Hunting, on 18 May 1669 in Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.1 John departed this life on Wednesday, 7 August 1726 in Hingham at age 85 years, 11 months and 29 days.
