Peter de Eyton II1

M, b. circa 1163, d. before 1240
     Peter de was born circa 1163 in Eyton, Shropshire, England. He was the son of Peter de Eyton. Peter married Alice (?). Peter's name found on records dating the years 1220-1237. In the years 1222 & 1226, as his father had done earlier, attended at Westminister in a cause concerning the manor at Wellington. Between 1225 & 1227, Peter relinquishes his rights to the Manor of Buttery to the monks at Shrewsbury as his father had done previously. On 13 May 1234 a document is attested to by Peter and William de Eyton, William, either the brother or son of Peter, more likely his son. The last known document concering Peter is dated 13 October 1237 in which Peter is again a recognizer or justiciar at a trial, this one before the King himself.2 Peter departed this life sometime in the next 3 years in the Manor of Buttery, Shropshire, England.
