     Ralph was born in County Cornwall, England, at the Bonython Manor in the parish of Cury. His name is also found as being Raph. Ralph married Elizabeth Downe in England. Ralph married 2nd Elizabeth Erissey in England.4 Raph Bonython paid a subsidy in the parish of Cury in the 15th year of Henry VIII [1524]. They were mentioned in the Inquest post Mortem of Elizabeth's newphew, James Erissey, in the 35th year of Henry VIII [1544].5
