Samuel Seymour

Samuel was born circa 1681 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was the son of Captain Richard & Hannah [Woodruff] Seymour of Great Swamp Village. Samuel married Hannah North, daughter of Thomas North and Hannah Newell, on 10 May 1706 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut. Samuel & Hannah had children: Hannah [3/26/1706-7][m. 12/10/1729 Allen Goodrich], Mary [11/13/1708][m. Deacon Anthony Judd], Eliakim [m. Susanna Judd & 2nd Mary Hooker], Rebecca [6/25/1711-5/02/1792][m. 11/21/1734 Elisha Goodrich], Mercy [9/11/1715][m. 2/14/1747 Uriah Judd] & Sarah [ca 1720-8/20/1781][m. James North & 2nd 9/22/1759 Judah Hart].1 Samuel departed this life in Farmington. Letters of Administration of his estate were granted on 1 August 1749 to Isaac North of Wethersfield who gave bonds with James North of Farmington. A division was made on 17 January 1749/50 - between Hannah Seymour, widow, his children: Hannah, wife of Allen Goodrich, Mary, wife of Deacon Anthony Judd, Rebecca, wife of Elisha Goodrich, Mercy, wife of Uriah Judd, Sarah, wife of James North & Ruth, wife of Phineas Judd..2
