Louis-Ignace was born on Monday, 29 April 1686 in Lauzon, Levis County, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 30 April 1686 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 He was the son of Gabriel Samson and Francoise Durand. Louis-Ignace married Madeleine Hubert on 26 January 1711 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 Louis Ignace & Marie Madeleine had children: Jean-Ignace [10/29/1711-10/098/1714], Francois [6/24/1713], Marie-Angelique [3/06/1716-2/02/1742][m. 5/11/1739 Louis Boulet], Ignace [3/07/1718-4/30/1763][m. 6/22/1739 Rose Boulet], Marie-Madeleine [4/20/1720][m. 2/03/1750 Pierre-Noel Cimono], Marie Genevieve [12/25/1721-3/06/1756][m. 1/20/1744 Alexis Boulet], Francois Cecile [3/13/1724-12/09/1749][m. 7/15/1749 Marie-Josephe Elot] & Pierre [8/08/1726-5/06/1745].3 Louis-Ignace departed this life between 15 July 1749 and 1 April 1767 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon.
