Joan Fauconberg

     Joan was born in 1406 in Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of Thomas Fauconberg & Joan Frounflete. She has been described as an idiot from birth.¹ Joan married William Neville, son of Ralph Neville and Lady Joan (?) de Beaufort, before 1422 in Yorkshire, England.¹ William & Joan had children: Anthony, Lady Alice, Elizabeth & Joan. It is not known if they belonged to Joan.¹ She became the 6th Baroness of Fauconberg in 1429. Joan's husband, William, died on 9 January 1463 leaving her a widow. Joan departed this life in 1490 in Yorkshire at age 84 years.
