     Syntje was born in Flatbush, in the Town of Brooklyn, Kings County, Long Island, New York. She was christened there on 22 September 1722 in the Dutch Reformed Church.1 She was the daughter of Jacob Reyerse and Styntje (?) Her name translates to Sarah. Syntje married Constyn Colneck.
