Adam was born circa 1485 probably at Eckelsheim, Rheinhessen, Germany. He was the son of Adam Reiss. He is noted as being of Wonsheim a neighboring village of Eckelsheim, but like his father was also on record in Stein-Bockenheim where he eventually established his home. Adam married Catharina Mey circa 1509 in Germany. He is of record as a juror in 1563.
