Bartholomus Reiss

     Bartholomus was born circa 1514 in Wonsheim, Rheinhessen, Germany. He was the son of Adam Reiss and Catharina Mey. He moved to the city of Bad Kreuznach where, like his brothe,r he was a black smith. He was the father of Jakob Reiss who became Burgomaster [head of city government].
