John Russell McCurdy

     John Russell was born on Saturday, 19 September 1914 in Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio, at the family farm at 4665 Stetzer Road. He was the son of Sidney McCurdy and Cora Ellen Peterman. John married Winifred Ruth Larue on 20 September 1942 in Bucyrus, Crawford County, Ohio.1 Russell and Winnie had children: Elwood James [1/12/1945-2/13/1945], John [8/07/1946-][m. 1/01/1967 Sharon Kibler, 2nd 10/12/1986 Regina Ann [Pffenberger] Reed & 3rd ] & Ruth Ann [3/13/1951][m. 5/20/1972 Wayne Earl Leuthold]. John departed this life on Tuesday, 15 February 2000 in Liberty Township at age 85 years, 4 months and 27 days. He was buried at Bucyrus in Oakwood Cemetery.
