William Mapes1
M, b. 1688, d. January 1747/48
William was born in 1688 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of William Mapes and Hannah Horton. On 1698, William was listed on the Census at the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Enumerated in this household were William Mapes, & Hannah. This census, although undated, is thought to have be taken towards the end of the year. Since William Sr. died in April, it seems that this was his son & mother. [klm] William married Tabitha Case, daughter of Henry Case II and Tabitha (?), circa 1711 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. William departed this life in January 1747/48 in New York.
