Richard Carpenter1

     Richard was born circa 1335 in Cambrai, Nord, Hauts-de-France, France, at Grand Pont.2 He was the son of Jean le Carpenter and Jeanne Tabarie. Richard married Christina (?) in England. Richard resided in London. He was a man of wealth and of social prominence. This is supported by public entries and the fact that his sons received a liberal education. He was a chaundeler and a goldsmith. Richard departed this life in London, County Middlesex, England. He was buried at Outwitch, Bishopsgate St. [Greater London], County Middlesex, England.3
