     John was born in County Cornwall, England, at the Bonython Manor in the parish of Cury. He was the heir of his father. He was the son of Richard Bonython and Jane Durant. John married Eleanor Myllayton in England. John and Eleanor had children: John [1580] Richard, Edmund, Anne [m. Walter Rosscarock], Elizabeth [m. Henry Pomeroy], Redskimer [Sheriff of Corwall living 1620] [m. Lowday daughter of William Kendall].2 He was the heir of his father to the Manor of Bonython. He paid a subsidy in Cury the 1st year of Elizabeth [1558].1
