Robert Pakington

M, b. circa 1489, d. 13 November 1536
     Robert was born circa 1489 in England. He was the son of John Pakington Esq. of Worcestershire.1 He was a mercer with an establishment in Cheapside. Robert married Agnes Baldwin, daughter of Sir John Baldwin and Agnes Dormer, in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England, at St. Mary's Church. By this marriage, Robert became possessed of the Manor of Aylesbury, and other properties. On 13 November 1536, while crossing the street from his home in Cheapside to attend church at St. Thomas Acon's [later Mercer's Chape]l, he was shot and killed.2,3,4 Their son Thomas, in turn had a son John. The King granted lands, including Dundridge, that had originally belonged to Sir John Baldwin to Thomas Packington. Thomas' son John sold the property at Dundridge to Richard Baldwin and his son Henry.
