Elizabeth Townsend1

     Elizabeth was born circa 1647 probably at the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York.
She was the daughter of John Townsend I and Elizabeth Montgomerie. Elizabeth married Gideon Wright, son of Peter Wright and Alice Wright, before 1668 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York. On 10 May 1771, Elizabeth's mother notes in a document she drew up dividing her husband's estate amongst their children that her daughter Elizabeth, wife of Gideion Wright had received a portion from her father. He died in 1668.
Gideon was a shoemaker & farmer. Elizabeth's husband, Gideon, died in June 1685 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York, leaving her a widow. Elizabeth married Joseph Ludlam I, son of William Ludlam II and Clemence Fordham, after June 1685 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York. She and Joseph were blessed with 3 children. Elizabeth's husband, Joseph, died on 16 March 1698/99 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York, leaving her a widow. Elizabeth departed this life on Sunday, 22 August 1723 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York.
