John was born the 29th day of the 2nd month 1672 at the Town of Hempstead, Queens County, Long Island, New York.2 He was the son of Edmund Titus and Martha Washbourne. John married, daughter of Henry Willis II and Mary Peace, the 9th day of the 8th month 1695 in Westbury, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York.3 31 August 1698, John and Sarah and his wife, [ROF:Hempstead Town] were listed on the Hempstead Town Census. Enumerated in this household were John Titus, Sarah, Mary, John. John's wife, an unknown person , died on 1 March 1730 in Westbury, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York, leaving him a widower.3 John married 2nd Mary (?) in 1732. She was the widow of John Smith. John departed this life on Thursday, 4 March 1751.
