Joanna Tattershall

Joanna was born in 1597 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. She was often referred to as Joane. Joanna married Dr. John Greene, son of Richard Greene and Mary Hooker, on 4 November 1619 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, at the church of St. Thomas.1 On 6 April 1635, Joanna & her husband, John,left from Hampton aboard the ship, "James", mastered by William Cooper, bound for New England. Listed among the passengers were John Greene, his wife & six chilldren. After a voyage of fifty-eight days, they arrived at Boston the 3rd of June..2 Joanna died in 1642 in Conimicut, Kent County, Rhode Island, shortly after their arrival at Warwick.
