Elizabeth Symmes

     Elizabeth was born circa 1685 in Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of William Symmes and Mary Chickering. Elizabeth married Joseph Torrey, son of William Torrey II and Deborah Greene, on 28 March 1705.¹ Joseph and Elizabeth had children: Joseph [10/19/1707-1789] [m. 10/15/1730 Elizabeth Wilson, & 2^nd 5/06/1740 Elizabeth Fiske], Mary [8/16/1709][m. 1/11/1730 David Lovell & 2nd 10/04/1737 Lieut. Samuel Kingman], Deborah [10/09/1711][m. 4/04/1733 David Nash], & Zachariah [5/10/1717-8/20/1745][m. 5/29/1740 Sibbel Miller].¹ Elizabeth's husband, Joseph, died on 22 April 1723 in Weymouth leaving her a widow.
