     Ame was born circa 1733 in Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. She is noted as Anne in her mother's will. She was thought to be "Ame". Her father's will said "Amye". She was the daughter of John Searing III and Elizabeth (?) She was often referred to as Amje. Ame married James Smith on 11 May 1753 in Queens County, Long Island, New York, at St. George's Anglician Church in the Town of Hempstead.2,3 Ame departed this life before 25 November 1772 in Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York.
