Sir William Babington

     William was born circa 1370 in The Manor of East Bridgeford, Nottinghamshire, England. He was the son of Sir John de Babington and Bendicta Ward. William married Margery Martell in England. The family resided at Chilwell & Kiddington. He was appointed Chief Justice of the King's Bench in 1423.1 William departed this life in 1454 in Nottinghamshire, England.
