Claude Garnier

     Claude was born on Sunday, 14 February 1672 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Jean Garnier & Madeleine LaGuay. He was christened on the same day there in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 Claude married Francoise Ayotte, daughter of Jean Hayot and Louise Pelletier, on 9 January 1702 in Pointe-aux-Tremples, Neuville, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-de-Sales Church.2 Claude & Marie-Francoise had one child, Claude [2/10/1703-5/07/1760] [m. 67/14/1730 Marie-Anne Leduc].3 Claude's wife, Francoise, died circa 18 March 1703 in Neuville, leaving him a widower. Claude married a second time on 9 January 1708 to Madeleine Coquin. Claude departed this life circa 6 May 1731 in Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. He was buried at Pointe-aux-Tremples, Neuville, Quebec, Canada, in the churchyard of St-Francois-de-Sales.3
