Marie-Josephe Cullerier

     Marie-Josephe was born on Friday, 1 June 1725 in Lachine, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Antoine Cullerier & Marie Angelique Girard. She was christened on the same day there in Sts-Anges Gardiens Church.1 Marie-Josephe married Claude Gouin, son of Joseph Gouin and Marguerite Roy, on 13 January 1742 in Fort Detroit [Michigan] at Ste-Anne.2 Claude & Marie-Josephte had children: Joseph-Nicolas [1746][m. 1771 Elisabeth Rivard], Francois [1748][m. 1775 Angelique Gode], Claude-Pierre [1751], Judith [1763][m. 1783 Philippe Chabert-de-Joncaire], Claire [m. Jean-Marie Beaubieu] & Joseph-Nicolas [m. 1771 Eliza Rivard].3 Marie-Josephe's husband, Claude, died on 29 May 1776 in Fort Detroit [Michigan] leaving her a widow.4 Marie-Josephe departed this life on Saturday, 2 January 1808 in Fort Detroit [Michigan].4 She was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Anne.
