Ann Copp

     Ann was born on Friday, 16 August 1630 in Hatton, Warwickshire, England. She was the daughter of William Copp and Ann Rogers. Ann married Harmon Atwood, son of Johannes Atwood and Joan Coleson, on 16 August 1646 in Boston in the Massachuetts Bay Colony.1 Harmon and Ann had children: John [chr. 10/05/1647-8/26/1714] [m. 10/29/1690 Mary Long] & Sarah [5/26/1650-1651].2,3 Ann's husband, Harmon, died on 2 June 1651 in Boston in the Massachuetts Bay Colony leaving her a widow. She married second Thomas Saxton on 10 March 1652. The couple had the following children: John [6/29 1652-1690], Thomas [1652-1680], Samuel [10/08/1653-7/02/1693], Joseph 5/09/1656-7/18/1715], Mary [1/09/1658], Nathaniel [11/29/1658-9/15/1677] & Elizabeth 6/08/1661-1731]. Ann died on Thursday, 23 June 1661 in Boston in the Massachuetts Bay Colony at age 30 years, 10 months and 7 days from complications of child birth of her daughter Elizabeth. She was buried there in Copps Hiill Burying Ground.
