     Heinrich was born on Monday, 20 September 1824 in Columbiana County, Ohio. He was the son of Henry Rock and Barbara Rieth. Heinrich married Elisabeth Shaffstall, daughter of Solomon IM Shaffstall and Catharina Haag, on 26 January 1847 in Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio.1 Henry and Elizabeth had children: Susannah [7/31/1847-1/18/1935][m. 8/23/1866 Thomas Johnson], Nancy [7/5/1851-10/11/1934][m. George Lewis Heller], Elizabeth [11/20/1852-9/24/1949][m. 3/13/1870 William H, Clark & 2nd. 1877 Eusebius Reyff], John Harrison [3/08/1855-8/10/1941][m. 7/02/1877 Henrietta Fetterer], Lydia [1857-3/28/1945][m. 11/02/1882 George William Renz], Henry G. On 8 October 1862, he mustered for 6 months in Company C of the 49th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. 6 July 1870, Henry and his wife, Elisabeth, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Delaware Township, Defiance County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Henry Rock [46 Ohio], his wife: Elizabeth [45 Pennsylvania], children: Nancy [19 Ohio] Harison [15 Ohio], Lydia [13 Ohio], Henry [11 Ohio], Jofinia [9 Ohio], William [5 Ohio] Perry [2 Ohio], & Barbra [84 Pennsylvania].4 9 June 1880, Henry and his wife, Elisabeth, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Delaware Township. Enumerated in this household were Henry Rock [55 Ohio], his wife: Elizabeth [54 Pennsylvania], children: Henry [20 Ohio], Josephine [17 Ohio], William [15 Ohio], & Perry W. [11 Ohio].5 6 June 1900, Henry and his wife, Elisabeth, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Delaware Township. Enumerated in this household were Henry Rock [75 Ohio - September 1824] & his wife: Elizabeth [74 Pennsylvania - October 1825].6 Heinrich's wife, Elisabeth, died on 4 March 1906 in Sherwood, Defiance County, Ohio, leaving him a widower. Heinrich departed this life on Friday, 17 December 1909 in Sherwood, Defiance County, Ohio, at age 85 years, 2 months and 27 days. He was buried there in Sherwood Cemetery.7
