Marie-Madeleine Morin

     Marie-Madeleine was born on Thursday, 28 December 1656 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 29 December 1656 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 She was the daughter of Noël Morin and Hélène Desportes. Marie-Madeleine married Gilles Rageot on 29 May 1673 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 Gilles & Marie-Madeleine had children: Charles [8/11/1674-12/18/1702][m. 5/23/1696 Marie Genevieve Anne Gauvreau], Nicolas [8/20/1676-3/31/1703], Philippe [7/11/1678-9/21/1711], Charles Francois [6/11/1680-2/26/1729], Francois [3/03/1682-4/16/1754][m. 11/21/1711 Genevieve Gauthier dit Larouche & 2nd 8/01/1727 Angelique Manseau], Denis [1/18/1684], Pierre Gilles [3/15/1686-10/08/1687], Gilles [11/24/1689-5/18/1754][m. 2/23/1724 Elisabeth Douaire dit Bondy] & Marie Madeleine 2/14/1692]m. 11/28/1708 Pierre Rivet dit Cavelier.3 Marie-Madeleine's husband, Gilles, died circa 3 January 1692 in ville de Quebec, leaving her a widow. Marie-Madeleine departed this life on Sunday, 21 July 1720 in ville de Quebec at age 63 years, 6 months and 23 days. She was buried there in the Notre Dame Cemetery on Monday, 22 July 1720.4
