Joseph was born on Monday, 25 March 1720 in St-Sulpice, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 26 March 1720 in St-Sulpice Church.1 He was the son of Pierre Majeau and Marie-Jeanne Pare. Joseph married Marie-Therese Mousseau dit Desilets on 22 February 1745 in St-Sulpice at St-Sulpice Church.2 Joseph and Marie-Therese had children: Joseph-Marie [5/15/1746][m. 1/23/1764 Marie Charlotte Christin dit Stamour], Louis [8/15/1749][m. 7/25/1768 Marie Anne Landry], Francois Louis [7/25/1751-7/02/1760], Marie-Josephe [2/24/1753-3/20/1753], Jean Baptiste [7/22/1754][m. 11/09/1778 Marie Anne Prudhomme] & Marie Cecile [6/11/1758-7/14/1803][m. 10/05/1772 Jean Baptiste Elie Janot dit Belhumeur].3 Joseph departed this life between 11 June 1758 and 2 July 1760 in L'Assomption, L'Assomption County, Quebec, Canada. He was living at the Christening of his daughter Cecile and noted as being deceased on the death record of his son Francois.
