Marie Madeleine Lemaitre

     Marie Madeleine was born on Thursday, 1 February 1691 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Pierre Lemaitre and Marie-Anne Chesnay dit Lagarene. She was christened there on 30 March 1691 in the Cathedral de l'Assomption.1 Marie Madeleine married Jean Baptiste Degodefroy de St Paul on 30 September 1726 in Trois-Rivieres at the church of Notre-Dame-du-Cap.2 Jean Baptiste and Marie Madeleine had children: Marie Anne [8/04/1727-10/27/1808][m. 7/05/1755 Joseph Joutra], Madeleine Francoise[5/02/1729-6/24/1799][m. 4/08/1755 Jacques Duplassis], Jean Baptiste [3/03/1731-] & Pierre [3/03/1731-8/4/1731]. Marie departed this life in Trois-Rivieres. She was buried there in the cemetery of Notre-Dame-du-Cap on Saturday, 26 May 1731.3
