Madeleine Lecoq

     Madeleine was born on Thursday, 3 September 1767 in Chambly, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 3 September 1767 in St-Joseph Church.1 She was the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Lecoq dit Ladouceur and Marie Jeanne Anne Huet dit St Godard. Madeleine married Alexis Fleury on 31 July 1797 in St-Joseph-de-Maskinonge, Quebec, Canada, at St-Joseph Church.2 Alexis and Madeleine had children: Marie [6/07/1798-12/09/1842][m. 2/18/1827 Pierre Gregoire], Marie Antoinette [5/21/1800][m. 2/18/1822 Isidore Boucher], Charles Sophie [1/18/1802-2/03/1802], Angelique [11/11/1803-9/27/1806].3 Madeleine's husband, Alexis, died on 18 August 1803 in Maskinonge leaving her a widow. Madeleine married 2nd Michel Masson on 26 May 1807 in St-Joseph-de-Maskinonge at St-Joseph Church.4 Michel and Madeleine had a daughter, Agathe [7/19/1807-6/13/1807]. Madeleine departed this life on Sunday, 10 July 1808 in Maskinonge at age 40 years, 10 months and 7 days. She was buried there in St-Joseph Church on Monday, 11 July 1808.5
