     Johann Daniel was born on Thursday, 21 April 1718 in Stein-Bockenheim, Rheinhessen, Germany. He was the son of Johann Daniel Korffman and Susannah Reiss. In 1741, Daniel left Rotterdam & last Cowes aboard the ship, "Friendship", under the command of Captain Alexander Thomas, bound for Pennsylvania. Among the passengers was Daniel Korstmann. They arrived at Philadelphia on the 12th of October..
