Josiah Hotchkiss

     Josiah was born on Monday, 7 November 1757 in New Haven County, Connecticut. He was the son of Ladwick Hotchkiss and Mary North. On 10 November 1757, he was christened in Kensington, New Haven County, Connecticut, at the Kensington Church. He was christened by Reverand Samuel Clark. Josiah married Mary Root on 22 February 1781. Josiah married 2nd Ester [---] Carrington. Ladwick was a blacksmith. He lived Plainville [Farmington Plains]. He was a kind & honest man. Josiah departed this life on Saturday, 14 April 1832 in Plainville [Farmington Plains], Hartford County, Connecticut.
