Rachel Hook

     Rachel was born circa 1712 in Prince George's County, Maryland.¹ She was the daughter of James Hook and Margaret Madden. Rachel married Robert Owings on 25 February 1730/31 in Rock Creek Parish, Frederick County, Maryland, at St. Paul's Church.¹ Robert and Rachel had children: Thomas [1732], John [1734], James [1736], Owen [1738], David [1740], Lydia [1742][m. Mr. Piles], Rachel [1744][m. circa 1759 Josiah Harper & 2nd. 1771 Henry Musgrove] & Margaret [1746][m. 1762 William Clarke].¹ Rachel's husband, Robert, died before 25 February 1765 in Frederick County at his home plantation "Horseshoe", leaving her a widow.
