Samuel Hawley1

M, b. circa 1648, d. 24 August 1734
     Samuel was born circa 1648 in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was the son of Lieut. Joseph Hawley and Katherine Birdseye. Samuel married Mary Thompson on 20 May 1673 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.2 Samuel's wife, Mary, died circa 1688 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut, leaving him a widower. Samuel married 2nd Patience Nichols circa 1690 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Patience was first married to John Hubbell.3 Samuel made his will on 15 April 1734 at Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

. . . having lived to see my children disposed of in marriage, and given them portions, all remaining estate to wife Patience.3

Samuel departed this life on Tuesday, 24 August 1734 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. His will was probated on 24 September 1734 at Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
