Mary was born before 1693 in Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. She was the daughter of Samuel Hoyt [Haight] I and Sarah (?) Mary married David Hewstis on 13 April 1711 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. The family resided in Westchester County, New York.
