Mary Gorton

Mary was born on Tuesday, 31 October 1673 in Warwick, Kent County, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of Benjamin Girtib and Sarah Carder.1 Mary married Samuel Greene, son of John Greene and Anna Almy, on 24 January 1694/95 in Warwick, Kent County, Rhode Island.2 Samuel and Mary had children: William [3/16/1695/96-2/25/1758] [m. 12/30/1719 Catharine Greene], Mary [8/25/1698-10/28/1739] [m. 12/31/1719 Thomas Fry], Samuel [10/22/1700-9/17/1780] [m. 2/17/1724 Sarah Coggeshall], Benjamin [1/05/1702/03] [m. 9/02/1730 Almy Angell] & Anne [4/051706-6/30/1706]. Samuel departed this life on Wed. 18 Sep 1720 in Warwick at age 49 year. Mary's husband, Samuel, died on 18 September 1720 in Warwick leaving her a widow.1 Mary departed this life on Monday, 7 January 1732 in Warwick at age 58 years, 2 months and 7 days.
