Ignace Guyet

     Ignace was born on Thursday, 9 May 1658 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Jean Guiet dit guillet and Jeanne Mignon. He was christened there on 19 May 1658 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 A contract was drawn up by Francois Genaple for the marriage of Ignace and Marguerite Rochon. It was signed on 1 December 1683 in ville de Quebec. It noted the parents of Ignace as Jean Guyet and Jeanne Mignon, and that Marguerite's parents were Simon Rocheron and Mathurine Buisson..2 Ignace & Marguerite had a daughter, Jeanne [12/09/1688-8/30/1780][m. 8/01/1712 Pierre Robreau Duplessis].3 Ignace's wife, Marguerite, died on 16 October 1689 in ville de Quebec at Hotel-Dieu leaving him a widower. Ignace married 2nd Perrine Samson, daughter of Gabriel Samson and Francoise Durand, on 12 June 1691 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at St-Joseph Church.4 Ignace & Perrine had children: Marie Francoise [5/03/1692-9/25/1756][m. 11/06/1722 Pierre Bourget], Marie Elisabeth [8/17/1693-11/09/1740], Ignace [12/19/1695-12/26/1695], Marie-Angelique [2/18/1697-4/11/1774][m. 6/09/1718 Etienne Samson], Marie Suzanne [6/26/1698-5/13/1780], Marie Catherine [4/25/1700-9/14/1741][m. 10/12/1722 Joseph Samson], Marie Anne [8/31/1701-12/31/1708], Ignace [1705-11/24/1751][m. 2/21/1730 Marie Josephe Courtois], Genevieve [3/25/1707-2/23/1734][m. 4/13/1733 Jacques Paquet dit Lavallee], Charles [9/08/1708-12/23/1749][m. 11/24/1744 Marie-Angelique Carrier], Marie Anne [6/09/1711-6/21/1711] & Jean-Francois [8/21/1712-11/12/1787][m. 4/03/1742 Angelique Bourassa].5 Ignace departed this life on Wednesday, 7 February 1714 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at age 55 years, 8 months and 29 days. He was buried there in the cemetery of St-Joseph on Thursday, 8 February 1714.6
