Mary Foote

F, b. circa 1583
     Mary was born circa 1583 in either London, County Middlesex, England, or nearby county Essex. She was the daughter of Robert Foote and Joane Brooke. On 18 June 1599, Mary's grandmother, Elizabeth Brooke bequeathed in her will to her an ale pot of silver gilt with two ears. Mary married John Hewes on 14 February 1602. John & Mary had children: Jonathan [ca.1603], Joshua [ca. 1605], Mary [ca. 1607], Elizabeth [ca. 1609], Sarah [ca. 1611], Hester [ca. 1613], Lidia [ca. 1615], Phebe [ca. 1617] & Ann [ca. 1619].1 Mary's husband, John, died before 21 August 1621 in Royston leaving her a widow.
