Sybell Englefield

     Sybell was born circa 1400 in Thame, Oxfordshire, England, at the Manor of Rycote. She was the daughter of Sir Nicholas Englesfield and Johanna Clerk. Sybell married Richard Quartermayne in Buckinghamshire, England. They left their estate at Rycote to Sybell's nephew, Richard Fowler, son of Sir William Fowler & her sister, Cecelia Englefield. Sybell is mentioned in her nephew Richard Fowler's will dated 10 October & probated 19 November 1477. Sybell died in 1483 in Thame, Oxfordshire, England, at the Manor of Rycote After her death, the Manor of Rycote was willed to her nephew Richard, son of her sister Cecelia Fowler. She was buried in Thame, Oxfordshire, England, in St. Mary's Church.
