Jannetje Dubois

F, b. 12 April 1776, d. 15 January 1865
     Jannetje was born on Friday, 12 April 1776 in New Platz, Ulster County, New York. She was the daughter of Hendricus Dubois and Rebecca Van Wagenen. Jane married Zacharias Freer in 1794 in New Platz. Zacharias and Jane had children: Johannes Jansen [8/03/1812-10/10/1882] [m. Ann Hardenberg] & Henry [10/30/1817-4/28/1893] [m. Jane Dubois]. Jane departed this life on Sunday, 15 January 1865 in New Platz at age 88 years, 9 months and 3 days. She was buried there in New Platz Rural Cemetery. The inscription on here tombstone reads: Jane Dubois wife of Zacharias Freer died Jan. 15, 1865 aged 88 years 8 mos. 28 days.1
