     Pierre was born on Friday, 25 October 1624 in Nieul-sur-Mer, Aunis, France. He was the son of Jacques-Marie Dandonneau and Isabelle Fain. He was christened there on 28 October 1624 in the Calvinist Temple.¹ A contract for the marriage of Pierre and Francoise Jobin was signed on 16 January 1653. The contract disignated the groom's parents as Jacques Dandonneau and Isabelle Faint, and the bride's parents as Jacques Jobin and Marguerite Roy; it was drawn up by the notary Mr. Ameau.² 1666, Pierre and Francoise were listed on the Canadian Census in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada.
