Lucy A. Cowles1

     Lucy A. was born on Thursday, 20 October 1836. She was the daughter of Daniel Norh Cowles and Narcissa A. Lane. Lucy was first married to Daniel A. Britton. Lucy A. married 2nd Samuel Mott Leggett, son of William Haight Leggett and Margaret Peck Wright, on 19 March 1874 in Oakland County, Michigan. Lucy's husband, an unknown person , died on 24 July 1883 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, leaving her a widow.2 Lucy departed this life on Saturday, 4 May 1918 in Pontiac at age 81 years, 6 months and 14 days. She was buried there in the Oak Hill Cemetery.3
