John Curtis

     John was born on Friday, 21 November 1721 in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut. He was the son of James Curtis and Hannah Coe. John married Dinah Norton on 18 November 1747 in Connecticut. John made his will on 18 September 1793 at Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut. He named his wife, Dinah. He mentioned his sons: Abijah & John. He mentions his granddaughter, Phebe Scrantom, only heir to daughter Phebe Scrantom deceased to receive one pound. His daughter, Hannah Hall, one pound with what she has had. To daughters: Lois & Sarah, 40 pounds each. John departed this life on Tuesday, 1 July 1800 in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut. His will was probated on 28 July 1800.
