Nathaniel Bliss1

M, b. 27 March 1654, d. 23 December 1736
     Nathaniel was born the 27th day of the first month 1653 in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.2 He was the son of Nathaniel Bliss and Katherine Chapin. Nathaniel married Deborah Colton on 28 December 1676 in Massachusetts.3 Nathaniel & Deborah had no children of their own, but adopted Joshua Field son of Samuel Field and Nathaniel's sister Sarah Gilbert. Nathaniel's wife, Deborah, died on 26 November 1733 in Springfield at Long Meadow leaving him a widower.4 Nathaniel made his will on 6 December 1733 at Long Meadow, Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts. He gave most of his estate to his adopted son and gave legacies to many of his relatives. Nathaniel departed this life on Sunday, 23 December 1736 in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.5 His will was probated on 8 February 1736/37.
