Margaret Bliss1,2

     Margaret was born on Friday, 12 November 1649 in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.3,4 She was the daughter of Nathaniel Bliss and Katherine Chapin. Margaret married Nathaniel Foote III, son of Nathaniel Foote II and Elizabeth Smith, on 2 May 1672 in Colchester, New London County, Connecticut. Nathaniel & Margaret had children: Sarah [2/25/1673-7/24/1756] [m. 11/30/1691 Thomas Olcott III], Margaret [12/01/1674], Elizabeth [6/23/1677] [m. 6/__/1701 Robert Turner], Mary [11/24/1679-2/08/1752][m. 5/14/1706 Daniel Rose], Nathaniel [9/09/1682-8/20/1774] [m. 7/04/1711 Ann Clark & 2nd. 9/13/1727 Hannah Garnsey], Ephraim [2/13/1685-6/10/1765] [m. Sarah Camberlain], Josiah [9/27/1688-12/__/1778] [12/07/1711 Sarah Wells], Joseph [12/28/1690-4/21/1756] [m. 12/12/1719 Ann Clothier] & Eunice [5/10/1694-3/11/1771] [m. 12/03/1712 Michael Taintor]. After Nataniel's death, the family moved to a farm called Jeremy's Farm in Colchester, which is on the road between Harford and New London. Margaret's husband, an unknown person , died on 12 January 1703 in Wethersfield leaving her a widow.5 Margaret departed this life on Saturday, 3 April 1745 in Colchester, New London County, Connecticut.
