Marie-Anne Blet dit Gazaille

Marie-Anne was born circa 1675 in Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Jean Blet dit Gazaille and Jeanne Bouveau. A contract for the marriage of Marie-Anne & Francois Quessy dit la Violette was signed on 6 June 1688. The contract notes that Francois Carsi was born in the parish of St-Jean, Bearn, France, and that he was the son of Joseph Carsi and Marie Beautemps. Also noted was that Anne was living with her parents, Jean Blet and Jeanne Bauvaud, in St-Ours. The contract was drawn up by the notary Pierre Menard..1 Marie-Anne's husband, Francois, died before 15 January 1728 in St-Ours, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Marie-Anne departed this life in Contrecoeur, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada. She was buried there in the churchyard of Tres Ste-Trinitie on Saturday, 17 January 1728.2
