Daniel was born circa 1672 in Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of Edmund Wright I and Sarah Wright. Daniel married Eliphal Wright, daughter of John Wright and Mary Townsend, on 5 May 1711 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York. According to Queens County records there was, in 1713, a Daniel Wright, innkeeper, located in town of Jamaica. He was a Captain in the Militia. Daniel departed this life in 1714 in Queens County, Long Island, New York.
